INDIRECT Inbound Linking Strategies: Overview Overview of Indirect Inbound Linking Strategies:
Good SEO practice requires you to get many contextually relevant sites to link to your site. The problem with the direct approach is that it is far too time-consuming, despite the fact that the value of such links are usually worth a lot of ranking points as far as the algorithms are concerned. This section describes a few INDIRECT approaches that produce a lot more links for the same effort. The tradeoff though is that the quality of the links is not necessarily as contextually relevant (and thus maybe not as valuable).

Timetable: Day 13,14

Many popular indirect tactics include:

  • Creating job postings on job directories
  • Creating Craigslist ads
  • Google News directory
  • Affiliate marketing
  • Article submitting
  • Listing your site on Web directories
  • Froogle listing
  • Press releases
  • Blogging
  • Social Bookmarking
