Off-Site Linking Tactic #3: Google News

Off-Site Linking Tactic #3: Google News Overview of Posting Content to Google/News
If you can put together enough unique content about your industry, then you can create a news oriented type of web page and establish that page as authoritative page. After posting updated content to the page for a period of 2 weeks, you can then submit the page to Google/News. If you get picked up, it means you will be displayed in Google's News section for free and other sites might pick up your content and syndicate it (that means they can either post the content on their site and/or link to your news page).

Timetable: Day 20

Create a news page about your industry or marketplace. Update it each day with a new paragraph. It doesn't have to be original; it doesn't have to be well written; it doesn't matter if people read it. It just has to be packed full of keyword rich content.

Do quick research finding news relevant to your sites theme. Construct a quick paragraph on news related to your sites theme.

After a couple of weeks, with at least one new item every week day, ask Google news to add you to their list as a news source for your industry sector.

Email newsfeedback@google.com requesting that your news page be listed as a news source for your industry. Be sure to supply the news page URL, and a brief paragraph describing how your page would be an asset to their news directory.
